Public Intro to Unlimited Power #1 at Hotel Chariot

Is mind-health a subject for the mentally sick alone? As a civilization we tend to think that there is something wrong with the minds of only those people who are declared mentally sick clinically. But come to think of it, is that really true?

No, I guess not! Who are we? This question can be answered from various realms. Today I would like to analyze it from the perspective of our beliefs. Each of us is a collection of the various beliefs that we have accumulated over several experiences in life. In fact the whole of our childhood is nothing but an intense period of belief construction. For instance, if as a child you encounter a bitter experience of humiliation and control in the hands of your father you might form a belief that people in authority misuse their power. This belief will thereafter begin to rule you, propelling you to resent authority and make you react in a way that might be harmful to your career leading to a string of quarrels with your superiors. While the belief is just an illogical decision arising out of pain and there is nothing real to it, to you it is concrete reality.

Reality that we experience is represented as beliefs in our head which thereafter begin to rule every one of our actions, thought and behavior. Beliefs are simply a map in your head of the way you represented reality to your self. The map is not the territory. But you think it is the territory and so do not have the freedom to step out of the map to experience reality as it is. We live our entire lives caught up as prisoners of these limiting beliefs never really experiencing our potentials. The irony is that most of these beliefs are in our blind-spots, an area which we are not in aware of.

How can a mind that is caught in these illusory beliefs be called healthy? How can a mind that cannot know the source of its emotional world be not sick? How really can we consider those that do not live their lives fully and completely to be living a normal life? Every one of us should explore our own blind spots until we architect a simply brilliant life of happiness and success at every stage. It becomes an imperative responsibility to our own selves.
