Unlimited Power #7
My heart felt so heavy when saw the condition of a young participant who had attended Unlimited Power this time. What in the world are we doing to our children in the name of performance and academics? This 12th standard student begins to stutter out of fear every time studies are mentioned to him. He has failed this year and is ashamed that he has been thinking of extreme measures to opt himself out of the situation. He had been quiet brilliant when in the lower classes. But then his father had been quiet ruthless with him forcing him to study. Beating him and what not! To add insult to the injury, his tuition mistress had been given full liberty to thrash him black and blue if he doesn’t study. Can you imagine the humiliation and the hurt and the fear that the child must have passed through?
The repercussions began to manifest when the child was in his ninth. He began to cry whenever you spoke anything about studies to him. Would the parents understand? No! They pressurized him further and took him to psychiatrist to try and determine if there was something wrong with him. In tenth the child scored really low marks and in eleventh he failed. Refusing to go to school now!
The parents would have continued in this senseless behavior had they not attended the Unlimited Power this time and the child would have been in a pathetically unreachable state if he had not trusted his parents one last time and agreed to come to the course along with them. The parents for the first time understood the workings of the unconscious mind and got an insight into their own motives and ignorance. They were so thankful to ThinkRite for the extent of change it had produced in their mental make up. The healing that took place in the child was tremendous to watch.
Our reward was the youngster’s radiant smile! It seems it was three years since they had seen him smile.
