Rite Thinker Awareness Session #10 - Stance

Awesome! The Rite-Thinkers fell in love with this session. Starting from quantum physics it delved deep into Buddhism exploring the Buddha’s sutra, “There is no self nature to anything”. Most importantly, the ‘Svabhava’ that we attribute to ourselves and others is a lie, an illusion. So it gives us the great freedom to be whatever we would like to be. The Rite-Thinkers identified certain weak stance in their life that were making them lead a mediocre life and worked on instilling great stance in their consciousness in order to mold a great life to themselves. The enthusiastic thinkers asked some probing questions into the teachings of Ramana and Buddha and the nature of karma. There were demands to allocate different awareness sessions to exclusively cover Karma and Buddha.

Over all, what came through to us clearly was that people wanted to learn spirituality more ardently than they wanted to learn NLP.

Rite Thinker Awareness Session #8 - Anchoring

Really enjoyed the Followup session today! The session was on the anchoring technique in NLP.

Have you heard about Dr. Pavlov and his experiment with dogs and bells? This is what Dr. Pavlov did. Every time he fed his dogs, he would ring a tuning fork. After a few days, whenever the tuning fork was sounded, the dogs would salivate for food, irrespective of whether it was hungry or not. The bell sound was an anchor to create a craving for food.

Each of us move through the world responding to hundreds of such anchors. We get depressed, get angry, move into excitement, become happy, be loving, all of these are responses to various stimuli that has programmed us to feel these emotions.

A husband and wife who constantly fight with each other have specific anchors that trigger them into these reactive stages. By collapsing these negative anchors and firing the positive anchors of love and forgiveness, the fight can be resolved so much more smoothly than the regular arguments. When you go to an interview and you are anchored to feel fear and insecurity looking at the interviewers, if anchored properly, you could respond naturally with confidence and a resourceful state.

We learnt the basics of anchoring today and it was extremely interesting. Looking forward to the forthcoming follow-up sessions for Unlimited Power !

Rite Thinker Awareness Session #7 - Ego Games

In today’s Rite Thinker Awareness Session we were looking at the games that we play in our relationships. It was a very interesting class with a lot of questions from the participants. At one point Kirtanya was explaining about the Struggle for Survival game. She had expounded on how ideas make use of your life for their survival. You are not simply your idea. But when an idea enters your head, you claim positionality with it and then it is no more the idea that is losing but “YOU” who is losing. Whenever the idea is rejected, it is as though you have been rejected personally and there begins a long battle for survival. She had taught a set of six games based on this and the solution to tackle them.

Then Sriram, a 16 year old asked a shrewd question, “Why should I tackle “Struggle for Survival” at all?”

The answer given to him was very interesting. The very basis, the very essence of any struggle is fear. Where there is fear, there is no freedom.  Where there is no freedom there is conflict. Where there is conflict there is drain of energy. Where there is no energy there is no joy. Therefore if you have to experience joy and bliss in your life, you sure have to have an awareness of the games you play internally.

These two weeks, let us commit ourselves to awareness of our ego games.

Rite-Thinker Awareness Session #6 - Auditory Sensory Acuity

The fruit tastes so sweet and heavenly! The results of all our hard work from the time ThinkRite started have begun manifesting. This is nothing to do with success in business terms.  Our sweet fruit this time was the tasting of some sublime emotions that can come only when we see for ourselves the extent of good will that we have got in doing what we do.

At the end of the class today on sensory acuity, Kirtanya requested the participants to come and share any significant happenings in their life after Unlimited Power. There was a slight hesitation for a few seconds and after that people came non-stop to the dais to share heartwarming wonderful things. Some shared how they found jobs after hopeless spells. Some shared how they used their Unlimited Power in making things happen to them. The crowning glory was when a mild looking lady got up and walked up to the stage to share a very touching incident. Her husband was the only son raised single handedly by his mother. Now after he has married and with two teen children the family disputes have been reigning high.  For some time now the mother is living alone in the same compound while the son stays in the upper portion. The wife was extremely hurt because of the gossiping tendency of the old woman who also had the habit of condemning the daughter in law to her friend, another old woman who lived in the neighboring house. They have not been on talking terms for quite some time now.

The couple had attended the Unlimited Power program the previous time. Now three weeks later, she stood on the dais and said,

After I completed the program I went to her straight, held her hands and simply sat with her for a long time. The servant maid there kept on saying talk to her. I only said, “I don’t have to talk to her she will understand my feelings. After that I got up and came away. Afterwards our relationships at home have been absolutely loving and kind. Our house is no more the same.

The way she had related the whole episode made so many hearts melt in the class. Many an eye had an unshed tear. Yet there was one face that was laughing in delight unrestrainedly – her blissful husband.

Isn’t the fruit really sweet?

Rite-Thinker Awareness Session #5

The Awareness session this time had a very natural sweet flow to it. While we wanted to take the session along the lines of “The Maps of Reality and the instruments used to construct them,” The session took a natural turn with a Rite thinker sharing his experiences after ThinkRite. He said that life is such a comfortable experience to him now and that ThinkRite and the Awareness sessions have become so much a part and parcel of himself. That triggered a few more to share their experiences. And fired with high energies the people began to ask for insights into various aspects of life. The session naturally became one of those intellectually and emotionally stimulating session in which the power of clarity hung in the very silence. It was absolutely awesome!

We covered topics ranging from relaxation to work, family and the game of life, breathing and ancient India. When Kirtanya was speaking on ancient India there were specific requests from the enthusiasts in the crowd to allot one entire class to know about India since they knew generically that it was a great nation once upon a time but do not know how exactly she was great. We practiced some breathing exercises too that instantly energized the mind-body system. After the session was over, none exhibited an interest to step out of the hall. It was one and half hours before the last group of people left. We are very happy to see ThinkRite emerge as a healthy community where each one helps another to grow!

Rite-Thinker Awareness Session #4 - Rapport

We had an impressive attendance today. Kirtanya taught Rapport skills to the Rite-Thinkers. The class was very inspiring and impressive.  Rapport is one of the fundamental concepts of NLP and the Participants were strongly established in the foundations today. We did some nice exercises that were practical and powerful to establish relationships. We also dabbled a little with ego states and how to shift them using rapport skills.

Rite-Thinker Awareness Session #3

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. So the saying goes. This time, our awareness session was such a proof for us. People in general are not committed when it is a free follow up session and that too when the session takes place on a Sunday morning at 7:00 AM. That is the time when sleep is most endearing and laziness most beckoning. But our Rite-Thinkers, an astounding majority of them, were fresh and ready on that early hour eagerly awaiting their awareness session that week. And they were not in the least disappointed. Communications skills from the perspective of transactional analysis were taught, which was very entertaining as it was enlightening. And the later half we delved into ourselves a little, using an ancient Buddhist technique. The Rite-Thinkers were happy at the variety and extent of wisdom they gain through the awareness sessions.

Rite-Thinker Awareness Session #2

The Rite-Thinkers had a superb beginning to this week, as the Sunday morning began with an excellent confidence session. We had practiced the famous exercise in NLP, The Circle of Excellence in Tamil. The exercise was for building a strong inner sense of confidence. We made use of the NLP presupposition, “People have all the resources they need.” Each of us has the ability to develop our inner resources into talents to excel at what we love to do in the world. Accordingly we drew upon the abundant inner resource of self confidence from a past experience and created a special memory trigger, so that you can have the experience of the same feeling whenever you want or need it. The participants did it so well. And the exercise was done in Tamil which was incredible. The joy of the immense benefit was so palpable in the participant’s faces.

This session was conducted on March 15th 2009.

We had our first awareness session today (March 1st 2009).  We worked on one of our participants who was quite stressed with an unpleasant event that happened seven years earlier.  Even now when she thinks of the incident she would get depressed and begin to cry.  Can you believe it?  It took exactly five minutes to work on her. Exactly five minutes in which the incident lost all its charge for her and she couldn’t cry anymore. In fact she was smiling at the memory which just before five minutes had made her stifle a painful sob.  All it required was to feed to her brain the information of “No Pain” in way it coded data.  Instantaneous and amazing result was the outcome. A very good beginning for the Awareness Sessions.
